Nyamityobora has been in the second tier for the last three seasons after having been relegated from the top-flight league in their very first season of 2018/2019.

The club, one of the longest surviving community clubs in the country, has since faced financial constraints with club president Ben Misagga and patron Ali Ssekatawa resigning their positions early this season.

Even Fred Mwine who had been installed as caretaker president resigned a few weeks ago, leaving the club in the hands of a few enthusiastic fans.
