The ultimate weekend of the Nile Special National Rugby Sevens will take place at Kings Park in Bweyogerere.

It will be a fight to the finish as the second-place Pirates host the Rujumba Sevens. They have their work cut out for them, with the Heathens five points ahead on 108 points. At home, they will need to show a lot of determination to ensure they lift the circuit and the championship.

Pirates and national team regular Isaac Massa is rallying his troops for what could be a challenging two-day event.

“From what has happened in the last circuit and what is going to happen, we just need to win our games. As long as we win the Ruijumba Sevens, that is when we shall consider any other thing that has happened,” said Massa.

Pirates missed an opportunity in Mbarara, and this time they cannot afford to veer off course because the Heathens will not allow another fumble.

“We are going to be so focused on what we can control only. We cannot give chance to by the ways right now. All our energy will be on what we can control. That is our group and our games, and probably if we were to meet them (Heathens) in the semis, that is when we can control what is in our hands,” explained Massa.

Pirates are drawn in Pool C alongside Rhinos, Impis, and Jaguara. Heathens are in Pool D alongside Hippos, Elgon Wolves, and Sailors. Pool B has Buffaloes, Walukuba, Rams, and Juba Eagles, while Group A has Kobs, Mongers, Warriors, and Kisubi Pacers.

For the women, table leaders Avengers, Kitgum Queens, She Wolves, and Panthers are in one group, while second-placed Black Pearls have Thunderbirds, Nile Rapids, and Ewes for company.
