Michael Mukula Junior sealed his back-to-back win on Sunday by winning the MPU Autocross in Namataba, Mukono district.

Mukula navigated by Edward Kiyingi in a Subaru N12, beat stiff opposition from Charlie Lubega’s son Mark Lubega and veteran racer Andy Musoke who finished second and third respectively.

“It is good to continue performing well. It gives me and my team confidence that we have a bright future and we shall continue doing it our way,” he said.

Nineteen crews participated in the one-day event and only 16 finished with the rest dropping out.

The drivers used the event to test their machines ahead of the National Rally Championship event at Kyakaigo Track in Fort Portal on July 8.

The UMC Fort Portal event is the fourth round of the National Rally Championship that will start with a sprint at Kyakaigo before heading for the competitive stages on day two.
