Arthur Blick Jr, a 13-time National motocross champion has emerged as a front-runner in the upcoming FMU administration elections.

He enters the fray competing for the motocycling deputy vice-president position, facing off against his former navigator, George Ssemakula, and Darbella Apolot.

Blick decided to stand for the position three weeks ago.

"I made this decision back after giving it a lot of thought. Therefore, I decided to stand because of what I can offer to the sport. I am a man of action, and I know that I will deliver," Blick explained.

His competitor, George Ssemakula, echoes similar sentiments of dedication to enhancing competition.

"I believe I am the right person to elevate motor rallying to new heights, both in improving the level of competition and in unifying all members of the FMU. I have innovative ideas, and I urge all voters to grant me the opportunity to execute them," Ssemakula emphasized.

If Blick emerges victorious in this election, he will be serving in that position for the third time, building on his previous administration between 2005 and 2009. On the other hand, if Apollot secures the win, she will make history as the first woman to be elected into the leadership role of Deputy Vice President of motorcycling.

The FMU elections are scheduled for May 1st, with contestants vying for seven positions, including the president's seat, vice president, secretary, vice secretary, Deputy Vice President motor rallying, Deputy Vice President motorcycling, and Deputy Vice President vintage.
