Lubambula, Makmot tasked with steering Uganda to glory at World University Rugby 7s

Coach Leonard Lubambula and Kevin Makmot have been handed the task of steering the team to glory in the FISU World University Rugby 7s Championship next month.
The global university event will take place from September 4-6 at Stellenbosch in Cape Town, South Africa.
The two tacticians have set finishing in the medal bracket as their main target.
"We started preparation in March, and our team is ready for the challenge because we have had enough preparation. We go into the championship targeting a podium finish," Ssebuliba said.
Before the team leaves the country, it will have a test match against the national team select side at Kyadondo Rugby Ground on Saturday.
The tournament, which started in 2004, is meant to nurture the talents that feed the national teams in the world's most entertaining sport.
The Uganda team includes Francis Bogere (captain), Daniel Kateregga, Calvin Gizaba (assistant captain), Stuart Mwayi, Mark Lagat, Allan Karuhanga, Jones Kamiza, Ryan Juuko, Ian Bwowe, David Shimwa, Darren Aine, and Darrell Mwaka.
The tournament is expected to attract teams from China, Italy, Spain, France, Portugal, Namibia, Kenya, defending champions France, Britain, Brazil, and hosts South Africa.
