Uganda's U21 men and women will be targeting crucial victories when the FIBA 3x3 Youth Nations League Africa North resumes with Stop 4 on Friday in Monastir, Tunisia.

The women are drawn in Pool B alongside Kenya and Tunisia, while the men will face Algeria and Benin in Pool A. With only three stops remaining, every victory will be vital in the race for the overall title.

Uganda heads into Stop 4 sitting second in both the men's and women's standings. The women won Stop 1, finished fourth in Stop 2 and were runners-up in Stop 3. Egypt currently leads the standings after winning the last two stops.

The men have also shown steady improvement, finishing fourth in Stop 1 before claiming back-to-back runners-up finishes in Stops 2 and 3. Algeria remains top of the standings after winning the opening two stops.

Uganda's performances have shown progress, but the teams must now convert that into titles. For the women, winning at least two of the remaining three stops could put them back in contention for the overall crown.

Scoring efficiency will also be key. Despite reaching two finals, Uganda has rarely scored 20 or more points in a game, allowing opponents to stay in contests. Improving their finishing in attack could make the difference in the remaining stops.

The men will take confidence from their impressive Stop 3 performance, where they defeated Algeria 16-11 and Egypt 11-5 before losing 12-7 to Tunisia in the final. Brighton Galiwango made an immediate impact after replacing Victor Makmot, scoring nine points against Algeria while providing strong defensive pressure alongside Edrine Ekau.

The women also bounced back well in Stop 3 after a disappointing fourth-place finish in Stop 2. They edged hosts Tunisia 10-9 before beating Benin 14-6 to reach the final, where poor shooting allowed Egypt to claim a 20-11 victory.

Uganda's defence has been one of its biggest strengths, with the men restricting Egypt to just five points and Algeria to 11 in Stop 3. However, improving scoring consistency will be crucial if both teams are to turn strong performances into tournament victories and close the gap on the conference leaders.
