Entebbe Club professional David Kamulindwa is poised for his second win at his new home, holding a nine-stroke lead after 36 holes in the fourth Stanbic Entebbe Open.
The Toro Club-bred golfer, now based in Entebbe, opened with a 5-under 66 to lead by three strokes over fellow Entebbe professional Vincent Byamukama.
He then improved to a 6-under 65 in the second round, extending his lead to nine strokes over Grace Kasango, who posted consistent 1-under 70s in both rounds.

Kasango after consistent rounds of 70 per round is tied for second with Abraham Ainamani who shot an opening round three-over 74 which he improved by eight strokes in the second with a 5-under 66.
In the 54-hole amateur event that started yesterday, Uganda Golf Club’s John Musiimenta shot an opening round 3-under 68 to take a two-stroke lead ahead of Arua’s Yassin Boyi who shot 70.
Lugazi Hills Golf and Country Club’s Peter Mayende and Reagan Akena are tied in third after they each played level-71. The event returns this year with an improved kitty of Sh50m and Sh15m for the professionals and gross amateurs respectively.
