Kampala Queens v FAD
Kampala Queens settled for a 1-1 draw with Commercial Bank of Ethiopia (CBE) as their qualification to the next round in the CAF Women's Champions League CECAFA Zonal Qualifiers remained doubtful.
They were supposed to win to brighten their chances but that did not happen as they shared spoils at Njeru.
They now remain second in Group A with four points, three below top-table leaders CBE.
Queens have to pray that Buja Queens who are the other team in the group with three points at least drop three points out of their possible six. Buju Queens will have to play FAD and Yei Joints while Kampala Queens are only left with a tie against FAD.
The visitors took an early lead in the 2nd minute through captain Loza Abera after slop defending from Kampala Queens.
They tried to bounce back in the 94th minute when substitute Zaina Nandede headed from a cross for the game to end in a 1all draw.
Elsewhere, an own goal and a strike from Eunice Kilega saw Yei Joints beat FAD in another group A game played on Friday.
The winners of the regional qualifier will earn a ticket to the final tournament that will take place in Ivory Coast in November.
