With this victory, they improved to an 8-5 record and claimed sixth place in the NBL standings.
The Jaguars came out strong, taking an early 7-point lead in the first quarter (18-11). KCCA tried to catch up in the second quarter but went into halftime still down by eight points.
After the break, the Jaguars kept the momentum going, pushing their lead to 12 points by the end of the third quarter (53-41).
In the last quarter, Aaron John Eboyu hit a long shot that put the game out of reach, sealing a 17-point win.
Peter Sifuma was the star for the Jaguars, scoring 21 points and grabbing 10 rebounds for a double-double. Kevin Moru made his return after three games out with a knee injury, giving the team a needed boost.
For KCCA, it was a tough weekend after another loss to the Kampala Rockets on Friday. Stanley Mugerwa led their scoring with 15 points, while Gaius Mahamba added 11.
The JKL Dolphins also secured a win, taking down Livingstone 74-64 in another men’s game on Sunday.
The KCCA Leopards had a great weekend, scoring their second win in a row by beating the Angels 61-49 at the Lugogo Indoor Arena.
Tracy Namugosa kicked things off with a driving layup, finishing the first quarter at 19-17 in favor of the Leopards. Martha Patience Likicho knocked down a deep three-pointer just before halftime to keep it close (26-29).
But the Leopards ramped it up in the third quarter, extending their lead to 15 points (48-33) and managing to hold on despite a late surge from the Angels.
Susan Rebecca Aanyu led the Leopards with 14 points, while Namugosa added 12.
Caroline Nakato was the only player for the Angels in double digits, scoring 10 points.
