National woodball team coach George Isabirye is impressed with the players' response to training and their commitment to learning.
The team will soon be camping at Bujanko Beach for residential training before they depart for the Beach Woodball World Cup in Pahang Malaysia in July.
Isabirye noted that the results of the previous Circuit at Coco Beach are evident that the players selected are good and will give good results.
The women's team has Lillian Zawedde, Joan Mukoova, Florence Mukoya, Jackie Naula, and 2022 woodball season MVP Joyce Nalubega.
The men’s team has Onesmas Atamba who is one of the most experienced players on the squad, 2022 men’s MVP Thomas Kedi, Ronald Mulindwa, Robert Mutiibwa, Michael Musaazi, and Israel Muwanguzi.
Meanwhile, despite all challenges, Nalubega targets a gold at the world event.
“It is going to be tough, but I want a medal for Uganda, but mostly a gold,” She noted.
Nalubega who is employed is given a few days to leave work for training which may affect his preparation.
