Robinson Obuya scored a half ton as Uganda defeated Botswana by five wickets today in Kigali to make it two wins in two at the ILT20 Continental Cup.
Obuya was unbeaten off 28 balls and finished among three batters who scored double figures for Steven Tikolo’s side, with Gerald Olipa and Charles Musemeza adding 24 and 15 runs respectively.
The game marked a special moment for Uganda skipper Riazat Shah, who broke the record for most sixes with 74, going past Simon Ssesazi’s 73. Interestingly, those were the only runs he scored, off three balls.
