The Blazers will face KCCA Panthers on Wednesday at the Lugogo Indoor Arena in a highly anticipated National Basketball League matchup.

The Panthers come into the game with three wins and three losses from six outings, while the Blazers boast a strong record of three wins against just one loss, setting the stage for a close and crucial encounter.

Forward Peter Obleng, who delivered an impressive double-double of 25 points and 12 rebounds in Sunday’s 69–51 victory over the Victoria Crocs, emphasized the team's focus on maintaining their winning form.

“I am focused and want to keep building momentum. Every game is important, and we aim to finish strong. Our depth allows everyone to know the opponent’s role and contribute,” Obleng said. “Our teamwork and strategic depth, with strong performances off the bench, helps us secure dominant wins.”

In their win against the Victoria Crocs, the Blazers initially trailed 17–15 after the first quarter but turned the game around with timely three-pointers and solid contributions from the bench. By halftime, they had established a 36–22 lead, with key inputs from Enabu Jimmy, Henry Ssebagala, and Makiadi Michael.

In the second half, Arthur Wanyoto added valuable points and rebounds, while substitutes Shakiru Hamid and Lubangakene Enoch helped maintain the advantage. Obleng played 32 minutes, hitting 10 of 19 shots, including five from beyond the arc, to seal the 18-point victory.

Other men's fixtures

Other key men's games scheduled for Wednesday include Kampala Rockets taking on UPDF Tomahawks at YMCA Wandegeya, and JT Jaguars facing RezLife Saints at Jaguars Den in Kira. The Rockets have struggled this season, managing just one win in five games, while UPDF Tomahawks have secured two wins in seven outings.

JT Jaguars, with two wins and three losses, will need to be at their sharpest against a formidable RezLife Saints side that has won five of their six matches.

Women's League action

In the women's fixtures, KIU Rangers will battle Magic Stormers at Lugogo Arena, Victoria She Crocs meet Pearl Queens at YMCA Wandegeya, and Angels take on JT Lady Jaguars at Jaguars Den Kira.

The Rangers currently hold three wins and three losses, while Magic Stormers have managed just one win in six games. Victoria She Crocs and Pearl Queens, both sitting at four wins and four losses, could be in for a tightly contested matchup.

Meanwhile, the JT Lady Jaguars, unbeaten in six of seven games, will pose a significant challenge for a struggling Angels side that is yet to record a victory this season.
