Uganda Woodball Federation has exhibited the reason why corporate brands should partner with them in the growth and development of the sport.
In the last 14 years, the number of junior participants in the sports has grown tremendously across the country.
The 14th edition of ICPAU heads to Lwengo district on Saturday, June 15, with a record 600 participants from 40 schools competing in a one-day event.

The one-day event is co-hosted by St. Mary’s Kitooro Primary School and Philip Foundation Secondary School in Kyazanga Town Council.
According to Uganda Woodball Federation president, Paul Mark Kayongo, the 600 participants will come from 40 schools including the defending champions, St. Mary’s Kitooro who are the defending champions in the primary category, and Mpoma Girls who have dominated the secondary school category.
Kayongo noted that taking the championship to Lwengo is fulfilling the federation's strategy of spreading the sport countrywide.
“As a federation, we embarked on spreading the sport to different parts of the country which is in line with the Sports Act,” Kayongo said at the launch of the tournament in Kamwokya on Monday.
