Minister for Works and Transport Fred Byamukama
today (August 1) inspected the ongoing construction works on the Masaka–Kyotera–Mutukula Road.

Upon arrival, he was received by Masaka City Mayor Florence Namayanja and Kyotera District Woman MP Fortunate Nantongo. He was later joined by Kyotera County MP Haruna Kasolo, who also serves as the National Resistance Movement (NRM) Vice Chairperson for Buganda, along with other Members of Parliament.

During the inspection of various sections of the road, Byamukama noted that large stretches were dusty and observed that the contractor had watered only the sections where active construction was taking place.

The minister further revealed that although the contractor has only two years remaining on the contract, just 30% of the road works have been completed, raising concerns over the pace of implementation.
