KYOTERA - Commissioner of Police Godfrey Maate Bolingo, who was in charge of security at the Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB), has passed away, senior police officers have confirmed.
Police sources indicate that Bolingo, the commander of Sango Bay Police operations, passed away at Sango Bay in Kyotera district, one of his duty stations, where he was overseeing an upcoming multi-billion-shilling government project.
A post-mortem examination is being conducted to determine the exact cause of death.
Senior officers described Bolingo as a disciplined and dedicated commander who played a key role in coordinating national examination security operations and government projects, including overseeing elections in the region.
Police say more details will be released after the post-mortem results are concluded.
