Uganda former ambassador to UK hailed for leveraging FDI

Outgoing Ugandan Ambassador to the United Kingdom, Julius Peter Moto has been hailed for leveraging UK business sector and diaspora to participate in the direct investment of Ugandan government-led provision of health care services.

This was during the function which attracted different community leaders in the UK held in London last week to thank Moto for his service during his stay.

Moto has been an active executive board member of Uganda UK Health Alliance since his arrival as UK High Commissioner

Moses Mulimira the UK head of the Uganda UK health alliance thanked the outgoing HE Julius Peter Moto for his excellent service to Uganda.

Mulimira said Moto played an active role as patron of the Uganda diaspora nurses and midwives association UK and also the British Ugandan Doctors association UK.

The Uganda UK Health alliance is an umbrella organisation for the UK and Ugandan institutions and organisations undertaking health care capacity building activity in both countries and it is currently co-chaired by the permanent secretary ministry of health Dr. Diana Atwine.

Other executive board members of the UK health alliance including the patron Lord Dolar Popat, Lord Nigel Crisp, and Co-Chair professor Ged Bryne also sent appreciation messages to HE Moto for his contributions to the health alliance’s successful engagements with both Government's health care capacity-building priorities.

On March 24th, 2022 Moto handed Uganda High Commission London to the Deputy High Commissioner, Ambassador John Leonard Mugerwa.
