UCC: Most Ugandan musicians don’t have copyright to their songs

Dr Waiswa said musicians need to organise themselves, urging that even if the copyright law is amended, they will still not commercially benefit from their music in the current state of the industry. 

Most musicians in the Ugandan music industry don’t own the copyrights to their songs according to the Uganda Communications Commission (UCC).
