All is set for the silver jubilee coronation anniversary for Adhola cultural leader Moses Stephen Owori.
The event, which is slated for August 7, 2024, is expected to be graced by President Yoweri Museveni and over 10,000 guests at Achilet Primary School in West Budama county, according to the organisers.
Adhola premier Josel Obbo said through the support from their subjects and development partners, they have met their budget target of shillings 300 million for the function.
"This is not a mean achievement for Tieng Adhola cultural institutions and the Jopadhola community. It’s a big milestone towards fostering unity in diversity and development for the Padhola community,’’ Obbo said.

Speaking during a media briefing at his office on Wednesday, July 31, 2024, Obbo implored the Jopadhola community to continue living harmoniously with themselves and the neighbouring communities.
He said the month-long activity, which began with the resource mobilisation tours, is winding up with the cultural week, bicycle race, marathon, swearing in of the board of trustees for Tieng Adhola development foundation, commissioning of the Kingdom radio, thanksgiving ceremony and dinner, before the silver jubilee celebrations climax on Wednesday next week.
The function will be celebrated under the theme: Gender Parity a Prerequisite for Sustainable Unity, Peace and Development in a Fast-changing Environment.
The 98-year-old Owori was installed in 1999 at King George Stadium in Tororo town.
Prior to his installation, Owor formerly worked as the permanent secretary in the labour and gender ministry from where he retired.
