President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has donated a vehicle to the Japadhola cultural leader to facilitate his easy mobilisation of subjects to embrace government programmes and other development aspects.
The joyous 97-year-old Kwar Adhola Moses Stephen Owori received the keys of the brand new land cruiser model 2022 from the state minister for defense Jacob Oboth at his residence in Amagoro village Eastern division in Tororo municipality on Sunday afternoon.
Oboth appreciated the Kwar Adhola for fostering unity, growth, and hard work among his people and appealed to the king to continue encouraging communities to actively participate in the implementation of government programmes.

He said the government is also in the pipeline to fulfill all the other pending pledges such as the delivery of a 14-seater coaster and pickup which is due in May and contributions towards completion of the stalled place building among others.
Owor thanked the president for recognising the institution by donating transport means which he said had hampered his day-to-day duty of mobilising his subjects to actively participate in the implementation of government programmes.
He said under some circumstances his official car due to age would fail to ignite forcing him to suspend his tours because he cannot move on boda boda.
His highness equally appealed to the government to fulfill its pending pledge of supporting the institution to complete its palace building which has stalled for over 10 years.
The resident district commissioner, Nixon Owole applauded the institution for peacebuilding but encouraged leaders in the district to consider adopting thinking outside the box for better service delivery.
He said he has moved across the district and people complain about the district being too big and others suggest that the district needs to be divided which the leaders need to think about.
‘’I have moved around the entire district and its general complaints from the residents about how the district is very big and they are calling on the government to have it divided.
I need to be open and honest with you, please as leaders of Tororo can you either think within the box, outside the box, or without the box to respond to the demands of the common people because it’s now the general concern from every resident demanding the district to be divided for effective service delivery’’ Owole said.
He called upon the minister Oboth to see how best he can implore his fellow MPs and other district leaders to answer the plight of the residents who are yearning for effective service delivery.
Tororo currently has 42 lower administrative units, 78 district councilors, and seven constituencies with 8 members of parliament having a piece of single road equipment to work on over 6,000 kilometers of the roads network.
During the commissioning of Mulanda Police station, the residents again asked Oboth for the division of the district saying they were ready to host the district headquarters at Mulanda now that the police headquarters had been built.
