The Police in Uganda's western city of Hoima are trying to trace two unknown armed robbers who reportedly invaded two homes of Indian nationals and stole sh50 million and other valuables.
Julius Allan Hakiza, the Albertine region Police spokesperson, told a weekly press briefing on Monday (March 24) that the Sunday afternoon robbery happened in Kiryatete East Hoima city.
Hakiza identified the victims as Eddy Adri and Vinod Kumar, who were also robbed of their mobile phones.
The runaway thugs are said to have left behind a gun with four rounds of ammunition at the scene.
Hakiza said that John Okello, a security guard attached to Radar Tech security company, was arrested to aid investigations.
