📷 State House Entebbe hosts end of year National Thanksgiving Service

As the year draws to a close, State House Entebbe on Friday hosted the National Thanksgiving Service to reflect on the nation's achievements and express gratitude for its people's resilience and perseverance.

Hosted by President Yoweri Museveni and the First Lady and Minister of Education and Sports, Mrs. Janet Museveni the ecumenical celebrations has brought together dignitaries, government officials, religious leaders, ambassadors and members of the public to celebrate the successes of the past year and look forward to new opportunities in the coming year.

The year 2023 has been one of both challenges and triumphs for Uganda.

While the country faced economic uncertainties, orchestrated by the ongoing political tensions and wars, it also witnessed significant strides in areas such as infrastructure development, healthcare advancement, and agricultural production.

David Bahati, the state minister for trade, industry and cooperatives, is the day's master of ceremonies.

The Vice President of Uganda, Jessica Rose Alupo Chief Justice Alfonse OwinyDollo, Prime Minister Rt. Hon. Robinah Nabbanja, cabinet ministers and senior security officers are among the dignitaries.
