Shadow of death as bride collapses, dies in church after taking vows

Prior to the bride's death, the hen brought from the groom’s side — a vital part of the kwanjula (introduction ceremony) traditional ritual — had also suddenly died before it could be presented.

Arinaitwe (second-left) and Masejeso (right) made their vows to each other at God’s Care Pentecostal Church in Luvule village, Maddu sub-county in Gomba district. Masejeso was rushed to hospital and died shortly after.
