KAMPALA - The Police in Kampala city are hunting one of their own after he allegedly shot dead a colleague, New Vision Online has learnt.
The Thursday, May 29, 2025, afternoon incident, which happened at Naguru Barracks near the Police headquarters in Nakawa division, has left the community and the neighbourhood in shock.
According to Police spokesperson, Kituuma Rusoke, the incident has been registered as a suspected murder.
Rusoke has also identified the suspect as Police Constable Everest Natujuna, who allegedly shot and killed on the spot his colleague Arthur Muhangi and fled.
Investigations are ongoing to establish the motive of the killing and any other incidents surrounding the shooting, Kituuma said.
He, however, said the suspect abandoned the killer weapon at the scene, and when arrested, he would be charged accordingly.
