Police have cautioned presidential candidates traversing the country against holding campaign rallies near examination centres.

Police spokesperson Rusoke Kituuma says some school playgrounds, which the candidates earmarked to host their campaign rallies, are very close to examination centres, which may cause confusion if politicians carry out their campaign crusades near them.

He has now urged the candidates to give students space by finding alternative venues that are far away from the examination centres.

He made the call during the Monday, October 13, 2025, joint weekly security briefing at Police headquarters in Kampala.
