Police hunt for woman who stabbed husband to death in Kakiri

Police are hunting for a woman accused of fatally stabbing her husband during a domestic dispute in Kiteredde Village, Kakiri town council, Wakiso district.

The incident occurred at around 6:00 p.m. on August 2, 2025, when a quarrel broke out between the suspect, only identified as Florence, and her husband, identified as Kiyondo Kisamba.

According to police, the woman picked up a knife and stabbed Kisamba in the neck, killing him instantly.

The suspect fled the scene after the attack. Detectives from Kakiri Police Station, including scene-of-crime officers (SOCO) and CID personnel, documented the scene under reference SD 91/02/08/2025.

Meanwhile, Police in Kira municipality are investigating a fatal crash that occurred later the same night along the Kireka–Namugongo road.

The crash, which happened at around 11:00 p.m., claimed two lives on the spot, while another victim was rushed to Mulago National Referral Hospital by the police emergency response team aboard a patrol vehicle.

A suspect has been arrested in connection with the incident, which is recorded under TAR 258/2025 at Kira Division.

Investigations into both incidents are ongoing.
