The National Unity Platform (NUP) has purchased five new cars for countrywide mobilisation.
According to NUP president Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine, each car will be sent to the five regions to help the regional co-ordinators mobilise more people to join the party.
The regions that have benefitted from the development are Buganda, eastern, northern and Western. A vehicle has been reserved for the NUP head office in Kampala.
Kyagulanyi says more cars are on the way to ensure NUP is properly represented in every corner of the country.
Bobi Wine made the revelation during a media briefing on August 29, 2024, at the party’s headquarters in Makerere Kavule, Kampala.
According to Kyagulanyi, NUP is getting ready to oust President Museveni and the National Resistance Movement (NRM) party from power come 2026 as they are more prepared this time around compared to the 2021 general election.
“NUP is a vehicle to prepare Ugandans to take power from NRM to a new Uganda,” he said.
