The Chief Executive Officer of Vision Group, Don Wanyama, has reaffirmed the longstanding relationship between the New Vision and Pearl Bank, noting that the two institutions are focused towards a similar agenda, nation building.
He made the remarks during a courtesy visit by a team from Vision Group to the Pearl Bank Headquarters in Kololo earlier today (Friday).

The courtesy call also focused on the progress Pearl Bank has made over the past year, as well as exploring new avenues for collaboration in promoting financial literacy, business growth and customer engagement.
"The first anniversary of a rebrand is a significant milestone. It reflects not only a new identity but also the progress made in building customer confidence and positioning the brand for future growth. We congratulate Pearl Bank on this achievement and look forward to deepening our partnership," Wanyama said.
He commended Pearl Bank for its successful transition following the rebranding, noting that the bank has continued to strengthen its market presence while demonstrating resilience and commitment to delivering innovative financial solutions.
New Vision Editor-in-Chief Sidney Miria Babanga emphasised the role of the media in telling the stories of progress, innovation, and impact.
He expressed interest in deepening collaboration with Pearl Bank to amplify stories of Ugandans benefiting from financial services, SMEs, and government programs channelled through the bank.
Meanwhile, Pearl Bank's leadership, led by Julius Kakeeto, the Managing Director, commended the visit by the New Vision team, describing it as a testament to the strong relationship the bank enjoys with Vision Group, Uganda's leading multimedia company.
The bank highlighted the importance of strategic partnerships in driving business growth, expanding financial inclusion and amplifying awareness of products and services that support individuals, entrepreneurs and businesses across the country.
“We are thrilled by Vision Group’s continued role in shaping public discourse. As Pearl Bank, we believe that when the media and financial institutions work together, we can reach more people and help them make better financial decisions,” Kakeeto added.
Discussions also focused on opportunities to leverage Vision Group's diverse media platforms to enhance public awareness campaigns, showcase customer success stories and promote initiatives that contribute to Uganda's socio-economic development.
Since unveiling its new identity a year ago, Pearl Bank has continued to invest in customer-centric banking solutions, digital innovation and expanded service delivery aimed at meeting the evolving needs of individuals and businesses.
The anniversary marks an important chapter in the bank's transformation journey, reflecting its commitment to innovation, operational excellence and sustainable growth within Uganda's financial sector.
As Pearl Bank enters its second year under its new brand, both institutions expressed optimism that their continued partnership will foster impactful storytelling, greater customer engagement and shared growth in the years ahead.
