FORT PORTAL - Mountains of the Moon University in Fort Portal has entered into an academic cooperation project with the Germany-based Weihenstephan-Triesdorf University of Applied Sciences.

The cooperation project between the two universities will go a long way in reshaping the students from classwork teaching to competence-based practical work for better employability as well as finding on-farm solutions to farmers’ concerns through research and innovation.

The cooperation between the two institutions was cemented by Matthias Schauer, the Germany Ambassador to Uganda, during his visit to Mountains of the Moon University on Friday, April 28.

Schauer visited several of the university’s projects and farmers whom the cooperation will also benefit.
