Mitooma Police probing murder by assault

MITOMA - Police in Mitooma district have launched investigations into the murder of Arthur Turyakiira, 40, who was found unconscious after being assaulted by unknown individuals on March 24, 2025.
According to case file CRB 205/2025, the deceased was discovered about 100 meters from his home in Nsitsa village, Nyabubare parish.
He had multiple injuries inflicted by blunt objects. He was initially taken to Dr Muhumuza’s clinic in Kabira sub-county before being transferred to Kitagata General Hospital.
Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries on March 25 at 3:30pm, according to Police.
Police officers, including a team of detectives and forensic experts, visited the crime scene and recorded statements from witnesses.
