Minister Balaam takes ‘Expose the Corrupt Campaign’ to Kasese

Earlier in the day, the minister met residents of Hima Town Council who reported being forced to buy items such as mama kits and medicine whenever they seek services at Hima Health Centre III, despite government policy providing them for free.

On his way to Bwera, Barugahara was stopped by residents who were displaced by River Nyamwamba.

The residents told him that six years after being displaced, they have never been permanently resettled by the Office of the Prime Minister. They also complained that they are sidelined from government programs such as the Parish Development Model (PDM).

The minister later met district leadership, where residents raised several accountability issues, including the alleged illegal sale of district land, stalled government projects, and the inflation of learner numbers in government schools.

Barugahara also held an anti-corruption rally dubbed Expose the Corrupt in Kisinga sub-county.
