Lokodo’s family cries out to govt over ‘huge’ responsibilities

KARENGA - As preparation for sending off Fr Simon Lokodo at his home in Kapedo sub-county, Karenga district are ongoing, family members have asked the Government to take over the responsibility of the dead cleric, saying he was educating more than 400 learners.
Godfrey Lokwang, the secretary of the priest’s family, said Lokodo has been a strong pillar in the family and had been taking care of his brothers’ families.
Lokwang said the deceased's brothers were killed by cattle rustling.
The family held a meeting and asked the Government to respect Lokodo’s wish of being buried at his home near his mother’s grave.
“We are left in dilemma. After Father Lokodo’s death, who will take over the huge responsibility he was having?” he asked.
