Make a good reputation so that people do not have to lie at your funeral- Rev. Fr. Mathias Nteza, the assistant parish priest at Christ the King Church, Kampala has told Christians.
He made the remarks during the requiem mass held for Fr Simon Lokodo on Monday.
"The late made a good reputation for himself and that's why faithfuls gathered to pray for his soul," he said.
He praised Lokodo for his strong stance against homosexuality in the country, noting that even at the time of his death, Lokodo was set to present a paper in Geneva on the culture of Uganda and reasons why there is no place for the practice in Uganda.
Fr. Lokodo died at the age of 64 in the Swiss capital Geneva on Saturday, January 29, where he had gone to present Uganda’s universal periodic review process.
