Lawyers demand respect in mediation proceedings
“We (lawyers) hold the key to mediation because we are the ones who bring the parties to courts. Mediation was made mandatory in 2013 but it failed because advocates were edged out and you can see we are following the same trend. So, mediators should stop demonising us during the mediation proceedings if this is going to succeed,” Mutabingwa said.
