Kalaki catholic church distributes bicycles to 38 catechists
A total of 38 brand-new bicycles, valued at about 15.2 million shillings, were handed over to catechists serving under the parish. The donation was made by friends of the parish priest to support pastoral work and improve mobility.

The Parish Priest of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Parish in Kamidakan, Kalaki District, Rev. Fr. Lawrence Akepa Immas, has cautioned catechists against misusing bicycles donated to support church work.
Fr Akepa says the bicycles should strictly be used to strengthen evangelisation and reach out to communities, warning that they are not meant for personal errands or unrelated activities.

Fr Akepa noted that catechists often travel long distances to reach outstations and visit the sick, saying the bicycles are expected to ease movement and improve service delivery.
