Phones banned

One of the victims, Abdul Rashid Ali, who spoke to New Vision Online, said they were picked up from Nairobi by different drivers contacted by the unknown company that had promised to take them to Libya for good jobs and money, but none of them were allowed to use phones or ask questions.

Abdul also appreciated the Uganda Police for rescuing and taking good care of them while in their custody.

We have never seen our agents, but they have been contacting us through the drivers from Nairobi up to here. We thank the Uganda police force for rescuing us, and we are ready to go back home to our families," Abdul said.

Meanwhile, the local leaders and the Police are still working hard to reunite the victims with their families.
