How German national lost sh5b to gold mafia

After losing over $1.5m (about sh5.7b) to gold scammers who had been introduced to him by Peter Musoke, a senior lawyer and former partner at Shonubi, Musoke & Company Advocates, a German national, Christian Arndt, was allegedly threatened with death and ordered never to come back to Uganda. When he left the country, he was also subjected to a series of arrests by his partners back in Dubai. On September 18, 2026, Arndt landed at Entebbe International Airport, having almost spent two years out of the country.
