The suspect in the killing of four children at Ggaba Early Childhood Development Centre will be tried under the mobile court system.
This was disclosed by the Principal Judge, Jane Frances Abodo during the funeral service of retired Supreme Court judge Augustine Sebuturo Nshimye at All Saints Church on Monday, April 6, 2026.
Abodo was responding to Archbishop Samuel Kaziimba Mugalu, who expressed concern over bureaucratic processes in the criminal justice system that could lead to suspects being released on bail.
“I want to assure the public that we are going to handle this case within this week. We are going to handle this case through the mobile court system,” Abodo said.
Christopher Okello Onyum allegedly stabbed the children to death on April 2, 2026. This means that his trial will be conducted at the daycare where the incident occurred, in full view of members of the public in a military tribunal-like setting.
