Dr Jino Abiriga prime murder suspect extradited to Masindi

Martin Kipsanga alias Chesebe, believed to be the prime suspect in the murder of Masindi acting district health officer Dr. Jino Abiriga has been extradited to Masindi.
 
A source at Masindi police station told our reporter that Kipsanga was extradited on Friday morning and he was to be taken to the scene of crime to reconstruct it.
 
Betty Cherotich, a window to the deceased and Kipsanga were seen being taken to the scene of the crime at about 1:30pm amidst tight security.
 
The media was barred from covering the event.
 
Hundreds of residents gathered at Masindi central police station to take a glimpse of the suspects who were heavily guarded by police and the UPDF officers.
 
Kipsanga was arrested by the joint security team on Thursday (January 11, 2024) morning at Roko village, Kibulwo parish, Amananga sub-county in Bukwo district.
 
Abiriga was murdered on Sunday, January 7, 2024, and his body was dumped in the neighbour's compound.
