The story published on March 11, 2026, titled “Nabbanja furious over shoddy work on City roads,” created the impression that China Communications Construction Company (CCCC) was the contractor responsible for Kyebando Ring Road, New Port Bell Road and other road projects in Kampala Industrial Area and Nakawa.
However, CCCC was contracted to upgrade and rehabilitate Sentema 1 and 2 roads, as well as Masiro and Mugema roads under Lot 5. The company says the project had reached 80% completion by February 2026 and follows the contract specifications.
