Bible Society throw Christmas luncheon for visually impaired people

The Bible Society of Uganda has demonstrated its commitment to people with visual impairments by organizing a Christmas party for them.

The General Secretary of the Bible Society, Simon Peter Mukhama, said the vulnerable people were at the heart of Jesus, which was why they found it right and just to reach out to the people with visual impairments and share with them the joy of Christmas.
The Assistant Bishop of the Diocese of Kampala, the Rt. Rev. Dr. Hannington Mutebi paid tribute to the Bible Society of Uganda and its partners for putting the Christian faith into action by exercising solidarity with vulnerable people and enabling them to experience the loving-kindness of God.

The visiting General Secretary of the Bible Society of Germany, Christoph Roser, also graced the function which ran under the theme: I was eyes to the blind (John 29:15).
