Adjumani woman arrested over fatal stabbing in domestic dispute

Police in Adjumani district have arrested a woman who allegedly stabbed another woman to death over a domestic dispute involving her husband.

The deceased has been identified as 32-year-old Grace Andrubaku, a peasant from Ajujo village, Alere parish, Pachara subcounty in Adjumani district.

It is alleged that at around 1:00 am, the suspect, only identified as Alice, aged 29, followed her husband, identified as Alfred Adraca, and found him engaging in sexual intercourse with the victim inside the deceased’s house.

Enraged by the incident, the suspect reportedly attacked them and stabbed the victim multiple times with a knife. The victim was rushed to Robidire Health Centre III, where she later succumbed to her injuries.

The body was transferred to Adjumani Hospital for a post-mortem examination.

The suspect is currently detained at Adjumani Central Police Station.
