With the weather hot enough for a cold cocktail, the crowd would immediately settle in for what promised to be a fun-filled evening. As has been the routine for the previous editions of Jameson & Friends, there were plenty of video and board games to keep the crowd in their groupings entertained.

If you missed out on a lovey-dovey treat during Valentine's Day, last night, February 24, at the Jameson & Friends Mapenzi edition, was your chance to cover up for the miss.

And to make this a perfect do, Afro-soul musician Kenneth Mugabi, with a catalogue rich enough to smoothly usher you into a loving mood, was there for you, armed with his tube fiddle and guitar.

Prior to Mugabi's performance, a host of revellers, who mostly attended in pairs, couples, or groups, had already started thronging Design Hub, Bugolobi, by 5:00 PM.

With the weather hot enough for a cold cocktail, the crowd would immediately settle in for what promised to be a fun-filled evening. As has been the routine for the previous editions of Jameson & Friends, there were plenty of video and board games to keep the crowd in their groupings entertained.

For Manchester United fans, you had a not-so-pleasant chance to watch your team get disrespected by Fulham FC in a 2-1 loss on a giant screen mounted outside. For Arsenal FC fans, the night would end in ecstasy.

As the fanfare went on, DJs Tony, Hibotep, and Alza kept those who weren't shy about dancing busy on the dance floor.

Mugabi would later step on stage a few minutes to 11:00pm, delivering to the level of his fans' expectations. The ladies, as expected, seemed more enthralled by his music, singing along to every lyric. He performed songs like Kibunomu, Nkwegomba, and Oli Wange, among others.

For the not-so-understanding boyfriends, you had to keep your girls metres away from the row because, at some point during his performance, Mugabi did not hesitate to pull out a few ladies to sing along with.

Another talented vocalist, Akeine, joined Mugabi on stage to spice up the fun with some of her music.

The night did not stop with Mugabi. After his electrifying set, Dj Kasbaby and Alfonkodee sent the crowd into a frenzy with their seamless transitions.

Thanks to Talent Africa, the production in terms of sound and light was well curated, devoid of significant hiccups.

If, by the end of the show, you could not find your date for the evening, chances are high that some sharp reveller stealthily walked out with them. Such is life
