BUSOGA - The Kyabazinga of Busoga, William Gabula Nadiope IV, has launched a three-year project aimed at advancing the sexual and reproductive health and rights of adolescents and youth in the Busoga sub-region.
The EYE Universal SRHR Project has been launched to advance sexual and reproductive health and rights for adolescents and youth in Busoga region.
The project, themed; “My Body, My Life, My World!” envisions ensuring every adolescent and youth in the two districts of Kamuli and Mayuge, especially those furthest behind, have access to sexual and reproductive health and rights information, services and exercise reproductive rights, free of coercion, discrimination, and violence.
Funded through the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Uganda, the project worth $4.5m (sh16.8b) will be implemented by UNFPA together with Marie Stopes Uganda, CARE International plus Naguru Teenage Information and Health Centre.
