The Uganda Medical Association (UMA) has criticised the Government’s position, saying discriminating against interns based on how they financed their education is unfair and will ultimately hurt patient care. UMA president Dr Frank Asiimwe said all interns perform the same work regardless of whether they studied under government or private sponsorship.
