She dominated news over a week ago following her feat at the Miss World contest that saw her scoop the Miss World Beauty With A Purpose crown, emerge first runner-up Miss World Africa, and make it to the Top Eight in the Miss World contest.

Miss Uganda Hannah Karema has decried the poor state of mobile network in her home village of Kinoni, Bulemezi, Nakaseke district, stating that it is the reason she was unable to reach her father to share with him the news of her feat on the global stage at the just-concluded Miss World contest in India.

“Please give us network in Kinoni. My father has no network so I have been unable to tell him about my win on the global stage.  I represented my country on the global stage yet my father is not aware because of (mobile) network. The roads are terrible. You get home with cough and flu,” lamented Karema via YouTube.

She dominated news over a week ago following her feat at the Miss World contest that saw her scoop the Miss World Beauty With A Purpose crown, emerge first runner-up Miss World Africa, and make it to the Top Eight in the Miss World contest.

However, Karema hoped her father found out about it from Bukedde TV.

“Maybe he saw it on Agataliiko Nfuufu. I tired reaching out, but network. I hope he found out,” she added.

She was crowned Miss Uganda in 2023.
