📸 Hundreds turn up for free medication at Chinese medical camp

HEALTH | MEDICAL | CAMP

MUKONO - Community members from Katosi Town Council, Mukono district, attended a two-day medical camp to receive free diagnosis and treatment from specialized Chinese medics.

The activity was organized by the Chinese Embassy in Uganda, in commemoration of the 40 years since 1983 of Chinese medical teams in Uganda.

This is the 22nd medical team that arrived in the country to boost boosting health care in remote areas.

There were seven specialists on the medical team, which now work at China-Uganda Friendship Naguru Hospital Kampala.

They included physicians and surgeons, specialists in gastroenterology, urology, infectious diseases, otolaryngology, anesthesiology, and traditional Chinese medicine, among others.

The 48-year-old mother of a son with a hearing problem was among many patients who returned home smiling after having their problem resolved.
