Experts link aggressive lung cancer to asbestos
Dr James Kafeero, a medical officer at Uganda Cancer Institute (UCI), said exposure to asbestos puts individuals at risk of developing a type of lung cancer called mesothelioma.
Data from UCI reveals that out of about 200 lung cancer patients who were treated in the last one year, three of them had cancer resulting from asbestos exposure.
