19 babies stolen in five districts

The largest single rescue came from Kakunyu village in Wakiso town council, where 18 children; nine boys and nine girls, aged between three and 10 years, were found crammed into two dilapidated rooms under what Police described as deeply suspicious conditions.

According to the Police, three suspects believed to have masterminded the theft of the children have been arrested as investigations into what they suspect could be part of a wider child trafficking network intensify.
