Stop pressuring Kenzo to marry me, Lydia Jazmine tells fans

Lydia Jazmine has urged her fans to stop badgering her fellow singer Eddy Kenzo about whether he is planning to marry her, saying they are denying him peace of mind.

She expressed frustration that on her social media pages, people are always asking her if she is going to marry Kenzo, real name Edrisah Musuuza.

Romance rumours between Kenzo and Jazmine (Lydia Nabawanuka) swirled mostly in 2019 towards his break up with his baby mama, Rema Namakula. 

Kenzo and Jazmine have been repeatedly asked about their romance to the point that they started brushing it off as a joke.

In 2023, December, a row erupted between Lydia Jazmine and singer Carol Nantongo, which was suspected to have been caused by a war over Kenzo.

Nantongo came out to stated that she does not like Jazmine and that their friendship had ended.

In March, Kenzo introduced Phiona Nyamutoro, the State Minister for Energy in Charge of Minerals, as his "personal person and his only one love" which left many surprised.

On May 26, 2024 while Lydia Jazmine was performing at Oasis Villa Lugabo in Nabweru, Wakiso, her fans requested for her song called Kawoowo, meaning a sweet scent.

In the song, she showed that she was ready for everything to have a man she loves. She even promised to fight for him. She quoted in the song that gives me much love like for Musuuza, saying his care is sweet. The guests then asked her why she left Kenzo and she publicly responded on stage.

“I left Eddy Kenzo for Nyamutoro. Did you want me to fight big people in the country. Personally, I do not have power to fight with people who are protected by guns. Let Eddy enjoy with the woman he chose to be his special person and I wish him well. I am a jealous person. I cannot manage to be a second wife," Jazmine said.

In August 1, 2023 at Lydia Jazmine’s birthday, we had an interview on Bukedde 2 TV’s Vibe Mix show, where Kenzo gave reasons why he loves Jazmine more than any other female artiste.

“Lydia Jazmine is a cute natural lady. She is a welcoming, well behaved girl who loves people. She is supportive, loving and caring and she loves helping. It’s the reason I aways support her musically in production because she wishes others well, but its' not a crime to love her. She is mature enough and single. The law allows to love each other, but she is my good friend," Kenzo said.
