Singer and songwriter Wycliff Tugume popularly known as Ykee Benda and his long-time partner Emily Nyawira held a beautiful introduction ceremony in Najjera, stepping closer to holy matrimony.

The introduction ceremony held in Najeera was not short of glamour as the two longtime lovers reemphasized their intent to live together forever.

The star-studded event was attended by family and close friends, and featured performances from elite local artists, including Sheebah Karungi, Lydia Jazmine, Tracy Melon, Mesarch Semakula, Levixone, and the B2C Entertainment trio.

Eddy Kenzo and his wife, Phiona Nyamutoro, also graced the ceremony, alongside other public figures.

Ykee Benda wasn’t the blushing groom. Rather than scan the crowd for the piercing gazes, he actually took to the microphone and performed for the crowd.  He emphasized his sentiments of attachment to his bride, a lawyer, by singing his popular song, Nkufeelinga, which he dedicated to her.

In July, Ykee Benda led a delegation to the home of his fiancée’s parents for Kukyala, shortly after their engagement om 13th June 2025.

Then, he wrote on his socials, “Three years ago I made a promise to a young lawyer, that I would bring honor to her name and her father’s house, yesterday was the beginning of fulfilling it. Beautiful as ever she walked into a room full family and she could barely walk. She knelt down to greet Badman and introduce him to the old man,”

The Old men met and agreed the cows and goats and us the two love birds couldn’t be more grateful to God. Emily’s Kukyaala 2025, we thank you all who stood with us, ON TO THE NEXT ONE.

After the introduction, Ykee Benda took to his socials and posted, “Mr. and Mrs.” 1 Corinthians 2:9. The Biblical verse emphasizes that Blessings God has prepared for His followers are beyond human comprehension.
